The small town nestled on the slopes is located at 480ms.lm (about 200m on Lake Lugano) and is about 3 km from the town on the Italian-Swiss border of PonteTresa. Milan is about 60 km away and Milan Malpensa airport about 50 km. Lugano in Switzerland is approx. 18 km, Lugano Agno airport 13km.

The center is the small historic heart of the town, with its old Lombard-style houses. Outside the village there are a number of large Art Nouveau and Art Deco villas with beautiful subtropical gardens. These villas were once the summer residences of the Milanese nobility and wealthy due to the mild and pleasant climate in summer, and the easy accessibility.

The period villa is located on the edge of the central historic area, in a dominant position over the town and with a wide view of the romantic hilly and mountainous landscape of Lombardy, which extends up to Monte Brè in Lugano in southern Switzerland, and in it also starts on Lake Lugano. The villa is surrounded by a park of about 8.500 m² with secular trees, made up of beeches, palms, pinuspinea, holm oaks, lime trees, magnolias, rhododendrons, camellias, jasmines, hydrangeas, roses, etc…

In the park there is a petanque alley and a romantic pond. The land is bordered by old natural stone walls.

The stately home boasts the style of a period building and is described in a publication on the villas in the province of Varese as a significant building in Liberty style (Italian floral style).

The villa includes two stately habitable floors with 4,50 meters high ceilings, numerous historical frescoes and fireplaces; on the upper floor there is the completely renovated attic in the upper attic floor. A total of 3 floors are available with approximately 1.200 m² of surface and living space to which is added the basement or cellar with a further 400 m² of usable surface. The 4 floors are connected by an elevator and large stairways.

Over the decades, the villa has been repeatedly renovated, the most complete renovation works were carried out between 2004 and 2008. On this occasion, almost all the frescoes on the ceiling and 4 m walls were restored; the bathrooms and the kitchen were modernized in 2013, the wrought iron gate and the railings were sandblasted. With the exception of the tower, all the facades have been completely renovated, the beautiful inlaid parquet has been again sanded and painted. The major part of the electrical and plumbing system was also renovated. To renovate the bathrooms, only precious marble and granite were used for the cladding and floors, for the bathroom fixtures only products by Philippe Starck, Teuco, etc. were chosen.

The attic, or habitable attic, was renovated in 2008, made in a modern style and is flooded with light. This floor can also be reached by lift and by stairs. The living area is divided as follows: entrance, large library divided into several rooms, guest toilet, kitchenette, guest bedroom with bathroom. In addition: balcony and terrace exposed to the sun. The attic is also suitable as an office, study or separate apartment.

From the attic or from the first floor through a small staircase you reach the tower and precisely to a room in the tower with high windows and a panoramic terrace above, bordered laterally by a battlements.

In the basement, in the basement, there is a room with a fireplace, once used as a kitchen, closets, boiler room, a large modern laundry room, cellar, wine cellar, room used for wood storage, etc ...

A lot of light enters through the windows. As part of the massive rehabilitation measures in 2007/2008, the reinforcement of the roof and the roof were completely refurbished; the rehabilitation, strengthening or renovation were also carried out on walls and ceilings whenever it was necessary. The representative access road to the palace has been renovated with porphyry stones; also the path of stone slabs and the path paved in natural stone have been renovated in the Lombard style with pink, gray and black Cuasso porphyry.
